The Bird in Hand is a 15th century thatched pub with original features and gas fires in the bar and lounge. It is a friendly, family-run pub in Austrey, Warwckshire which is a small rural village clustered around a picturesque 14th century church which can be viewed from the pub and garden.
Gareth is the landlord and he runs the pub along with the manager Sam and chef Paul. Our friendly pub dog Freddie helps with the atmosphere!
Inside the Bird we have two bars, a snug which is a semi-private room (with views out over the sun terrace and beer garden), two alcoves and a restaurant looking out to the church.
It is a lovely place to come for a relaxing drink, a meal in our restaurant or a special event which we can arrange for you, more information on this is detailed on our events page.
In the area surrounding the Bird in Hand are many attractions including Drayton Manor Park in Tamworth, Twycross Zoo and the National Forest is only two miles away.
